The markets are calm before the big FOMC announcement and Janet Yellen’s press conference. Stocks continue to recover. Dow futures are up about 45 points, and NASDAQ futures are up about .3%. Bond prices were close to unchanged but just lurched higher on the economic releases of the day.

The FANG fall

Dow futures are down about 20 points in pre-opening trading, but it’s not about the Dow 30 stocks or the S&P.  NASDAQ futures are down about 60 points (.9%) after Friday’s freakish tumble.

As you probably know by now, the fall was led by the FANG stocks (Facebook, Amazon, Netflix, and Google)…

Thursday’s aftermath
